Abstract

The study to examine the effi cacy and safety of herbal remedies Vimens and Menorma in the treatment of patients with abnormal uterine bleedings in the reproductive period was performed.

70 women of reproductive age (35–45 years) with prolonged menstrual bleeding were examined. 35 women took Vimens 1 capsule 1 time a day for 3 months; 35 women within 3 months took Vimens 1 capsule 1 time a day in conjunction with Menorma 1 tablet 2 times a day for 3–5 days before menstruation and until their completion.

There were following results of treatment: the dynamics of clinical manifestations occurred in both groups – almost all women reported about normalization of the menstrual cycle for three months: reduced the duration of bleeding, decreased blood loss, decreased pain and premenstrual syndrome. In the second group the tendency to improve on a number of indicators observed from the second month of treatment. Tolerability was good.

The authors conclude that the obtained results allow recommending phytocomplexes Vimens and Menorma in treatment regimens of patients with abnormal uterine bleeding, especially when it combined with premenstrual syndrome
