These disorders lead to the preservation of menstrual dysfunction, and it prolonged existence can lead to the formation of organic pathology of the female reproductive system.

We studied patterns of hormonal recovery in women after abortion. The possibility of rehabilitation therapy in the postoperative period using the preparation of a special extract of Vitex agnus castus – BNO 1095 (Cyclodynon®) was studied. BNO 1095 is standardized by the content of cyclic diterpenes, having the ability to inhibit prolactin.

The study included 44 young women who had surgery abortion in term of 8 to 12 weeks of pregnancy. I clinical group consisted of 20 women whom Cyclodynon® was prescribers over 6 menstrual cycles to restore the relations in the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian system. Group II consisted of 24 patients in the post-abortion period, which for various reasons has refused carrying out rehabilitation. The controls were 20 young women without menstrual disorders, which did not have an abortion. Extract on the basis of the BNO 1095 lead to restore of the twophase menstrual cycle from the 2nd month in 75% of women, for the VI cycle it was noted the almost complete recovery of menstrual function and homeostasis of the major sex hormones.

At the same time in patients of group II to VI the menstrual cycle remained hyperprolactinemia and deficiency of progesterone, that indicating persistent disorders of the hormonal homeostasis due to a lack rehabilitation treatment.

These results suggest the need to include in the complex rehabilitation after abortion a drugs leading to more rapid restoration of normal relations in the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian system.
ER -
