Features of treatment of menstrual dysfunction in adolescent girls

Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of the drug Mastodynon on the formation of menstrual function in adolescent girls suffering from various disorders of it.
The study included 60 girls aged 12 to 15 years with various forms of menstrual dysfunction: premenstrual syndrome, hyperpolymenorrhea, juvenile uterine bleeding, oligomenorrhea, and amenorrhea.
The main group consisted of 31 girls who took Mastodinon 30 drops (1 tablet) 2 times a day for 3–6 months, cyclic vitamin therapy 3 course if it was indicated. The comparison group (30 persons) received only cyclic vitamin therapy, if necessary – symptomatic treatment.
The results showed that the effectiveness of the treatment of adolescent girls by non-hormonal drug inclusion Mastodynon was quite high after 3 months, and after 6 months persistent results achieved and maintained at the same level in the future.
The study authors conclude that Mastodynon can be successfully applied to determine the menstrual cycle in adolescent girls.
