Abstract

Cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological oncopathology on women. It was shown that cervical cancer can be caused by oncogenic strains of human papillomavirus (HPV). So it is important to timely prevent the disease through regular screening of women (particularly of risk group) and vaccination against HPV.The article contains recommendations Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada regarding the regular cytological screening for cervical cancer – its benefits, methods, features and so on.
